Scenic Ireland : Irish Photography Books from Christopher Hill
Scenic Ireland: The Province of Leinster
Scenic Ireland: The Province of Leinster takes the reader on a tour through each of Leinster's twelve counties to drink in its magnificent scenery while visiting sites of historic interest along the way. The journey unfolds through over 150 stunning photographs taken by Ireland’s leading landscape photographer Chris Hill, and is annotated by his close friend and travelling companion, Colin McCadden. Research, planning and driving were all shared as together they roamed the length and breadth of the province in a Campervan, allowing them to get off the beaten track and discover the most breathtaking scenery, at any hour, from dusk till dawn. Geography has sculpted the Leinster coast with many beaches and gentle inlets, unlike the rocky fangs which protect its neighbouring provinces of Munster and Connaught. Leinster is Ireland’s province of trade, investment, politics and government, and home to the country’s capital city, Dublin, accounting for the fact that it boasts the largest population of the four provinces .
